Treatment Nurse LPN or RN

At Pine Hill Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, we bring skilled nursing, therapy, and rehabilitation together with the warmth and comfort of true Southern hospitality. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Treatment Nurse to join our team.

The Treatment Nurse is responsible for the skin and wound care of residents with an emphasis on prevention and treatment of skin disorders. The Treatment Nurse follows the established nursing Care Plan and makes appropriate adjustments as resident care needs and/or physician orders change. Assists with the duties of the staff RN, LPN or certified nursing assistants when needed.

• Identifies, manages, and treats specific skin disorders.
• Performs evaluation using observation and inspection techniques.
• Confers with the Care Planning Team in the development of the Care Plan.
• Provides and documents, including staging and treatment of skin disorders within established wound care protocol and monitors ongoing skin and wound
  treatments.
• Monitors the use of preventive measures such as inspection, turning and positioning.
• Assists in modifying the treatment regimen to meet the needs of the resident, in accordance with established medical practices, the regulatory guidelines and the policies and goals of the Facility.
• Provides information to resident and caregivers on prevention techniques and other ways to maintain or improve the general health and psychosocial status of the resident.

• One or more years of experience in wounds, or a related field
• Current LPN/RN licensure in the state of Alabama
• Excellent communication, teaching, and leadership skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  
  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations
