Work schedule:
Part-time, benefited
12 hr - Rotating/Blended shifts (7am-7pm, 7pm-7am or 12p-12a)9 shifts per month required.
Weekends and Holidays are required.
No call.
Differential Pay per shift (regardless of shift length):
PM differential: $120 per night shift (7pm-7am)
Evening differential: $45 per evening shift (12p-12a)
Weekend differential: $50 per AM shift on weekends (7am-7pm)(

Stipends do not stack. The higher of the stipends for the shift is what applies.)CME allowance:
Full-time benefited APPs receive an annual $2,000.00 CME allowance. This can be used for recertification, fees, CMEs, etc. that occur after a new employee's start date.
Advanced Practice Provider will provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment to low and high-risk antepartum and postpartum patients. The APP will disposition patients appropriately by either discharging home or escalating to physician for admission or disposition home. The APP will work both autonomously and in collaboration with other APP’s and physicians. Experience in obstetrics is preferred but not required. Must be professional, caring, dependable, a team player, and multi-task oriented.
The APP will perform the following functions:
Formulate and implement patient care plans based on pre-defined clinical pathways for patients presenting to the MEU.Order and interpret laboratory, radiologic, and other diagnostic tests necessary for the evaluation of patients in the MEU.Bill for services rendered within the MEU and ensure clinical documentation supports the level of service charged.
Adhere to all applicable regulatory, quality, and compliance protocols.
Educates patients and their families regarding their medical condition, their care plan, medications, and patient responsibilities.
Communicates results of MEU evaluation with primary care physician or clinic.
Consults with primary OB/GYN, resident staff, and attending physician as need for changes in the patient's condition or care plan.
Works in a collaborative relationship with resident physician staff and with MEU nursing.
Actively involved in the education of medical students and junior residents in triage of pregnant patients.
Special skills needs:
Ability to read and interpret non-stress tests (NST’s)
Ability to perform and interpret limited ultrasound examinations
Ability to perform light microscopy for evaluation of vaginal discharge
Ability to document patient encounters in Impact electronic medical record system (Cerner)
