Responsible for facilitating the professional role development and growth of nurses and other healthcare personnel at COA.

Credentials with Equivalent Qualifications Essential:
  • Certified Pediatric Nurse or any of the following equivalent qualifications below:
    • Certified Pediatric Oncology Nurse
    • Certified Registered Nurse of Infusion
    • Certified Registered Rehabilitation Nurse
    • Certified Nephrology Nurse
    • Certified Nurse Operating Room
    • Clinical Nurse Specialist
    • Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse
    • Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse
    • Certified Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurse
    • Nursing Professional Development Certification
  • Registered Nurse AL Single State or any of the following equivalent qualifications below:
    • Registered Nurse AL NLC Multi State
    • Registered Nurse Non-AL NLC Multi State
  • Basic Life Support
Education with Equivalent Qualifications Essential:
  • Bachelor of Nursing Equivalent
Nonessential:
  • Masters of Science Nursing
Experience with Equivalent Qualifications Essential:
  • 3 Years job experience as Staff Level with specialization in the field of Nursing Acute

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) programs American Heart Association Pediatric Life Support (PALS) programs Neonatal Resuscitation Program Nursing Service Orientation Clinical Assistant/Unit Support Staff orientation Transition into Practice for newly graduated nurses Education support and consultation Pediatric continuing education programs (Alabama Board of Nursing and American Nurses Credentialing Center approved providers) Coordination of clinicals and preceptorships for schools and colleges of nursing
