Advanced Practice Provider - UAB Medicine Vascular Surgery Team Eligible Application Providers

The following APPs may be considered for this role:
Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult Primary Nurse Practitioner, Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant.

Full-time, benefited. Day shift (Mon‑Fri, 8am‑5pm). No weekends, holidays, or call. CME allowance: full‑time APPs receive an annual $2,000.00 CME allowance.

Vascular Surgery is seeking a highly motivated Advanced Practice Provider to deliver care to our vascular patient population in clinic. The APP will work directly with vascular surgeons, residents, and fellows within the Division of Surgery and Endovascular Therapy and staff an independent ambulatory clinic.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining accurate patient records.
• Assessing patient needs.
• Managing and prescribing medications as appropriate.
• Managing wounds.
• Providing treatment options and education.
• Delivering quality care while maintaining metrics associated with productivity.
• Performing comprehensive physical examinations and assessments.
• Interpreting patient medical records and social data.
• Assisting or performing procedures per collaborative agreement.
• Coordinating plan of care, discharge, and specialty referrals as appropriate.
• Coordinating and participating in performance improvement activities.
