Travel RN – Med Surg / Cardiology (2 West)

Birmingham, Alabama

Contract (13 Weeks) | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts, 06:45–19:15 | 36 Hours Guaranteed Per Week | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Med Surg/Cardiology unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Care for pre- and post-heart catheterization patients, as well as general cardiology patients presenting with chest pain, hypertension, and related conditions
• Utilize Cerner EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient care
• Operate standard acute care equipment in alignment with unit protocols
• Float to like units and similar facilities as needed, based on unit staffing requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Current NIHSS certification (AHA)
• Experience in Medical Surgical nursing

• Cardiology nursing experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR
• Strong acute care clinical skills across a broad patient population

• Work at a large, accredited comprehensive healthcare facility recognized for excellence in cardiovascular services, stroke care, and a wide range of specialty programs
