Job Description

The School of Nursing at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) invites applications and nominations for a full‑time faculty position to teach Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing courses in the Undergraduate/Pre‑Licensure Programs. The position is not remote.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing courses in the Undergraduate/Pre‑Licensure Programs.
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years psychiatric/mental health nursing experience.
  • Minimum of a master's degree in nursing (doctoral degree preferred).
  • Unencumbered registered nurse license in the state of Alabama or eligibility for licensure as a registered nurse in Alabama.
  • Rank, tenure, and salary are competitive and commensurate with professional background and experience. Faculty may elect different degrees of emphasis on teaching, service, and scholarship components of the faculty role.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree preferred.
