Registered Nurse (RN) – Step Down / IMC / PCU (Travel)

Birmingham, Alabama

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)

• Provide direct patient care in a Step Down / Intermediate Care unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and assess patients requiring close observation and intervention between ICU and general medical-surgical levels of care
• Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and communicate patient status and care plans
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – must be in hand at time of submission
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification – must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Step Down, IMC, or PCU nursing experience
• Permanent address must be located more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel assignment

• Prior travel nursing experience in a Step Down or Intermediate Care setting
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems used in acute care environments
