Behavioral Health Geri Pysch Schedule (Full‑time night shift, 7p to 7a)

Our Behavioral Health services at UAB St. Vincent's East include 80 beds for adult and geriatric patients with acute and chronic mental health needs. The dedicated team‑based care model provides individualized, compassionate care in a safe and structured environment focused on stabilization, recovery, and long‑term wellness.

• Provide direct patient care to behavioral health patients in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the facility.
• Perform initial and ongoing bio‑psychosocial assessments according to accepted standards of nursing practice.
• Develop a nursing plan of care consistent with the master treatment plan.
• Participate in treatment team conferences to assist in planning and revising goals, objectives, and interventions appropriate to the age‑related and problem‑specific needs of each patient.
• Implement nursing plan of care for assigned patients and conduct and/or co‑lead group therapy sessions for patients.
• Evaluate patient’s response to interventions and revise nursing plan of care as needed.

• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing.
• Required professional licensure at the time of hire.
