Work Location:
UAB St. Vincent’s East - 6 East, Medical-Surgical, 23‑bed unit focused on medical diagnoses such as hypoglycemia/hyperglycemia, hypotension/hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, confusion, pneumonia, diverticulitis, COPD, stroke, and respiratory illness.

What You Will Do- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well‑coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required. Accepted sources:
American Heart Association or American Red Cross. - Licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing and professional licensure at time of hire required.
