Registered Nurse - Operating Room; OR RN in Birmingham, AL

Advance your nursing career by utilizing your Operating Room expertise in a dynamic hospital environment. This contract opportunity offers a fast-paced setting where your skills in surgical nursing are valued and you’ll play a vital role in supporting a broad range of cases.

• 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (40 hours total)
• AM shift

• Active RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in Operating Room nursing
• Demonstrated proficiency in Orthopedic cases, including total joint replacements
• Significant experience with General and Neuro (Spine) surgical procedures
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong technical and communication skills

• Circulate and/or scrub on a variety of surgical procedures within Orthopedics, General Surgery, and Neurosurgery
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and infection control policies
• Work collaboratively alongside surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists
• Monitor and address patients’ needs throughout the perioperative process
• Complete accurate documentation and participate actively in surgical time-outs and safety initiatives
