In Endocrinology Clinic at Main Campus Park Place North

Work schedule will be Full-time on the Day Shift shift, Full time day shift.

Summary:

The Ambulatory Resource Team Nurse is a professional nurse who assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for patients/families in multiple clinic areas within Ambulatory Operations based on licensure and competency.

Other information:

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Experience:

  • Associate degree or diploma at least one year of recent nursing experience required, preferably in pediatrics, preferably in an outpatient setting or BSN or MSN a minimum of 6 months experience preferred, preferably in pediatrics, preferably inan outpatient setting.

Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries:

  • Current RN license in the State of Alabama.
  • Current BLS Certification.

Credentials with Equivalent

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Registered Nurse AL Single State or any of the following equivalent qualifications below:
  • Registered Nurse AL NLC Multi State
  • Registered Nurse Non-AL NLC Multi State
  • Basic Life Support

Education with Equivalent

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Bachelor of Science Nursing in Nursing or any of the following equivalent qualifications below:
  • Associate of Science Nursing in Nursing and 1 Year job experience as Staff Level with specialization in the field of Nursing Experience RN

Qualifications:

The Division of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes at Children’s of Alabama provides comprehensive evaluation and diagnostic treatment of a broad range of pediatric endocrine and diabetes disorders. This is a high volume, fast-paced clinic that features 30 clinical exam rooms, 6 triage bays, 2 stimulation testing rooms, 1 procedure room, 3 classrooms to be able to accommodate a large volume of patients.

The Endocrine Clinic is supported by 12 Endocrinologists, 6 Fellows, 10 Nurse Practitioners. The Endocrine Clinic also has multiple areas of support staff including Diabetes Educators, Insulin Pump Educators, Clinic Nurses, Endocrine Nurses, Clinic Aides, and Secretarial staff.
