Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU (Cardiac)
Location:
Birmingham, AL
Shift: 3x12 Nights
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Pay Range: $1,585.64 – $1,865.46 / week
Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced PCU Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiac care for a 13-week travel contract in Birmingham, AL. In this role, you will provide specialized nursing care to mixed-acuity (stepdown and med/surg) cardiac patients within a premier Level 1 Trauma academic medical center.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality direct nursing care to cardiac stepdown and med/surg acuity patients.
- Continuously monitor cardiac telemetry, evaluate hemodynamic status, and manage specialized care plans.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to established clinical protocols.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care with physicians, cardiologists, and allied health professionals.
- Assess, document, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
- Active RN License (Alabama or eNLC Compact License in hand).
- Certifications:
Current BLS and ACLS required. - Experience:
Minimum 1–2 years of progressive care (PCU), cardiac stepdown, or telemetry experience preferred. - Schedule:
3x12 night shifts.
