American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Ortho unit requiring 2 years of recent experience and an active AL or compact RN license.
Requirements- Active RN license (AL or Compact) currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required (AHA only accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg, orthopedic, or post-op experience required
- Strong time management, positive attitude, and reliable attendance
- Quick thinking and ability to work confidently in a fast-paced environment
- Work on a 30-bed Med/Surg unit specializing in orthopedics and post-op surgical care
- Fast-paced unit with a 6:1 patient ratio
- Uses Cerner EMR
- AM shift from 0645 to 1915
- Every other weekend required
- No call requirements
- Floating required as needed
- 13-week assignment
- Provide nursing care to surgical and orthopedic post-op patients
- Participate in bedside shift report
- Navy scrubs required
- No fake, gel, dipped, or wrapped nails permitted
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
