Overview

New increased pay rates available. Join us as a Registered Nurse (RN) with opportunities across multiple specialties and full-time/weekend schedules at Grandview Medical Center.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient-centered care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, coordinating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Coordinate and deliver care in accordance with organizational policies, protocols, and the nursing process; conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately.
  • Utilize knowledge of human growth and development to provide age-appropriate care and education.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor for side effects, and document administration according to standards of practice.
  • Assist physicians during procedures within documented competency and skill level.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans based on patient assessments and needs.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and participate in life-saving interventions as appropriate.
  • Advocate for patient rights and needs, ensuring understanding and adherence to care plans.
  • Provide patient and family education on medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
  • Implement and adhere to infection control protocols; monitor and operate medical equipment as needed.
  • Promote patient safety and maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Participate in audits, chart reviews, and compliance checks to ensure adherence to standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Document patient care and education thoroughly and promptly in the medical record; engage in professional development and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Cath Lab RN:
    • Pre-Procedure: review medical history, prepare patient, start IV line, administer medications as prescribed, educate patient and family, verify consents.
    • During the Procedure: assist the Cardiologist, monitor vital signs and sedation, ensure equipment function, manage complications.
    • Post-Procedure: monitor vitals and condition, administer post-procedure medications.
  • Specific RN Specialties (examples):
    • Emergency Services RN: rapid assessment and triage, emergency procedures, stabilization interventions.
    • OR Services RN: perioperative care, scrubbing in, sterile technique, intraoperative monitoring.
    • Cardiac Surgery RN: post-op monitoring, medications and IV management, life-support equipment handling.
    • Endoscopy RN: pre/post-procedure care, monitor vitals, assist physician, maintain sterile field.
    • Obstetrics/Labor and Delivery/Post Partum/Nursery RN: labor support, pain management, fetal monitoring, postpartum care, newborn care education.
    • Oncology RN, Orthopedics RN, PACU RN, NICU RN, Telemetry RN, Dialysis RN, among others per unit needs.
Qualifications
  • 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required.
Knowledge,

Skills And Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of the nursing process and clinical nursing practices; ability to perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively.
  • Proficient in administering medications and monitoring for side effects.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting patient care.
  • Knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives.
Licenses and Certifications
  • RN
    - Registered Nurse
    - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required
  • BCLS
    - Basic Life Support required
  • ACLS
    - Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred
  • PALS
    - Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred
  • NRP
    - Neonatal Resuscitation preferred
  • Refer to facility or unit-specific guidelines for additional requirements.
