Travel Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg)

Birmingham, Alabama

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend Required

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed General Medicine unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Utilize Epic EMR and Barcode Medication Administration (BCMA) systems to document and administer care accurately
• Communicate effectively within an interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient-centered care
• Float to other units within the acute care division as needed
• Adhere to all facility dress code and infection control standards, including TJC and CMS nail and footwear compliance guidelines

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Proficiency with BCMA and Cerner
• Strong time management and interdisciplinary communication skills

• Experience working on a General Medicine or Medical/Surgical unit
• Professional, adaptable, and patient-centered approach to care with a commitment to established processes

• Work at a large, accredited comprehensive healthcare facility recognized for excellence across multiple specialties including stroke care, cardiovascular services, and more
