Travel Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg)

Birmingham, Alabama

Contract (13 Weeks) | Night Shift | 36 Hours Per Week | Every Other Weekend Required

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed General Medicine unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Administer medications and treatments using Barcode Medication Administration (BCMA) protocols
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately within the Epic EMR system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and deliver patient-centered care
• Float to other units within the acute care division as needed
• Adhere to all facility dress code, infection control, and compliance standards including TJC and CMS guidelines

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Proficiency with BCMA and Cerner
• Strong time management and interdisciplinary communication skills

• Experience working with General Medicine patient populations
• Familiarity with Epic EMR in addition to Cerner
• Demonstrated adaptability in fast-paced acute care environments

• Work at a large, accredited comprehensive healthcare facility recognized for excellence across multiple service lines including stroke care, cardiovascular services, and surgical care
