Travel Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Neuro/Spine)

Birmingham, Alabama

Contract (13 Weeks) | Days | 5x8-Hour Shifts, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | On-Call Required

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care to surgical patients in a Main OR setting with a Neuro/Spine specialty focus
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio within a 24-bed OR unit, ensuring patient safety and quality care throughout the surgical experience
• Operate and assist with OR equipment and technology, including robotic-assisted surgical systems
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team to support general surgery and orthopedic procedures
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using Epic EMR
• Adhere to facility dress code standards, including wearing navy scrubs and maintaining professional appearance guidelines

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in Alabama or a compact state
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
• Demonstrated experience in General Surgery and Orthopedic procedures
• Current BLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Ability and willingness to take call as required

• Experience with Da Vinci robotic surgical system
• Experience with Maxillofacial (Max Face) surgical procedures
• Familiarity with Epic EMR in a perioperative environment

• Work at a large, accredited comprehensive healthcare facility recognized for excellence in surgical care, including minimally invasive and robotic-assisted procedures, serving a diverse patient population
