Shift AvailableFull‑time PM: 3 12‑hour shifts per week.
Job HighlightsThis direct patient‑care role provides hands‑on experience for those pursuing a career in health care or nursing school. You will work side by side with bedside nurses as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
Responsibilities- Assist patients with everyday needs (bathing, restroom/bedpan assistance)
- Monitor vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiration, weight, input and output)
- Perform EKGs
- Draw blood and perform finger sticks
- Obtain specimens for testing
- Help nursing staff administer basic treatments
- Notify nursing staff of any issues or concerns
- Keep patient rooms clean and sanitized, ensure adequate supplies
- Provide appropriate emotional support
- High school diploma or GED required
- Certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within 30 days of employment
- Completion of an in‑house PCT training program
- Awareness of patient and personal safety
The Gynecology Oncology (GYNX) Unit is a 30‑bed acute care unit that provides comprehensive care for patients with gynecologic oncology, pelvic floor and urogynecologic disorders, reproductive endocrinology and infertility services, postpartum, and select obstetric and hematology oncology patients.
