Make a meaningful difference supporting students as a Licensed Practical Nurse in a school-based setting. This contract opportunity, based near Birmingham, Alabama, provides a dynamic environment with a floating assignment between various schools as needs arise. Youll maintain a home base while bringing your expertise to different educational sites throughout the academic year, building valuable relationships and expanding your skills.

• A valid and current nursing license in the state of Alabama
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program approved by the Alabama Board of Nursing
• An associate degree or higher in nursing
• Active CPR certification
• Prior, hands-on experience working as an LPN within a school environment this is essential for consideration
• A responsive, adaptable approach with the ability to support a variety of students and staff across multiple campuses

• Provide nursing services and health support to students and staff in a school setting
• Respond to health concerns, administer medications, manage chronic conditions, and deliver first aid as needed
• Maintain accurate health records and collaborate with the schools health team
• Educate students and staff on relevant health topics and good wellness practices
• Serve as an approachable resource, adapting to the needs of each assigned school location

• Full-time contract schedule: 35 hours per week, onsite
• Floating between schools within the district, with an assigned home base
