Position Summary
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to lead our Restorative Nursing and Quality Assurance functions. This dual focus role oversees restorative care programs that maintain and improve resident function, while supporting the facility's quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives. You will play a key part in optimizing resident outcomes, regulatory compliance, and clinical quality.
ScheduleFull time, primarily day shift, Monday through Friday, with occasional flexibility as needed.
Key Responsibilities Restorative Nursing- Develop, implement, and oversee individualized restorative nursing care plans
- Train, supervise, and evaluate restorative aides and nursing staff on restorative techniques
- Coordinate with therapy staff to transition residents from skilled therapy to restorative programs
- Monitor resident progress toward functional goals such as mobility, activities of daily living, range of motion, and ambulation
- Ensure accurate documentation of restorative services to support care and reimbursement
- Support QAPI program activities, including data collection, audits, and performance improvement projects
- Conduct chart audits and clinical reviews to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Monitor quality measures, including those affecting Five Star ratings and survey readiness
- Assist in developing and tracking corrective action plans
- Support compliance with CMS, state, and federal regulations
- Prepare reports and present findings to the interdisciplinary team and leadership
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice
- Long term care or skilled nursing experience required
- Experience in restorative nursing, MDS, quality assurance, or QAPI preferred
- Knowledge of CMS regulations, quality measures, and survey processes
- Current CPR and BLS certification
- Strong analytical, documentation, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with EHR systems and basic data tools
- Ability to move throughout the facility, demonstrate restorative techniques, and assist with resident transfers as needed
- Competitive salary $35.00-$44.00/hr
