Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg-Oncology RN with an active AL or compact license, BLS/NIHSS certification, and at least 2 years of recent experience.
Details- 18-bed Med/Surg-Oncology unit with a 6:1 patient ratio
- Patient population includes oncology, palliative, post-op bariatric, and med/surg overflow cases
- Uses computer charting, IV pumps, vital sign machines, and other basic medical equipment
- 3x12 day shift schedule from 06:45 to 19:15
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required as needed
- Active RN license (AL or Compact) required
- BLS and NIHSS certifications required (AHA only, American Red Cross not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience required
- Med/Surg experience required
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to oncology, palliative, and post-op bariatric patients
- Navy scrubs required; only scrubs and scrub jackets permitted as attire
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Local candidates are not accepted for this position
