Travel Registered Nurse Operating Room General Surgery jobs in Birmingham, AL let you work in a high-volume surgical hospital environment with diverse procedures and strong clinical teamwork. You will provide comprehensive perioperative care, prepare the operating room, manage surgical equipment, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and comfort. Required qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, an active Alabama RN license or compact license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and at least 2 years of recent operating room nursing experience.

Experience with Cerner electronic medical record (EMR) systems is required if starting before July 25, 2026. Skills in surgical patient care, critical thinking, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams are valuable. Experience with ENT, Da Vinci XI robotic surgery, gynecology, neurology, and vascular procedures is recommended.
