Position: Psychiatric Registered Nurse |

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years PSYCH RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications
  • Current, unrestricted RN license
  • Recent experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing (inpatient or outpatient)
  • Strong understanding of crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, and mental health diagnoses
  • Proficient in developing and implementing patient care plans
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work compassionately with diverse populations, including patients with severe mental illness and co-occurring disorders
  • Current BLS certification
Schedule
  • Contract position; specific hours and shift details provided during interview process
Primary Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing evaluations for psychiatric patients
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor effects, documenting progress and side effects
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, therapists, case managers, and multidisciplinary team members to develop individualized care plans
  • Provide patient and family education on diagnosis, treatment plans, and coping strategies
  • Use therapeutic communication and interventions to manage acute psychiatric episodes and promote emotional stability
  • Maintain a safe environment by identifying and addressing behavioral or medical emergencies promptly

$1,806 - $1,904/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
