Job Description
Summary/objective
Buffalo Rock is an award-winning Pepsi and Keurig Dr Pepper bottler founded in Birmingham, AL more than 123 years ago. Buffalo Rock manages the best beverage portfolio in the country, which includes several beloved global and regional brands. The Quality Control Supervisor is a key member of the Quality Control Team responsible for overseeing the Quality Control team and ensuring that products meet quality standards.
Essential functions

• Supervise, train and assist employee-partners in accomplishing their assigned task.
• Responsible for instrument calibration.
• Responsible for mixing different solutions used in production.
• Responsible for sending quality control samples to parent company.
• Review daily batch reports / quality control production reports / fountain reports.
• Read micro monitors every 30 minutes.
• Perform a startup control drink.
• Check box and bottle codes every 30 minutes.
• Investigate and check all consumer complaints.
• Do all seam checks on cans.
• Check torque on caps if investigation is needed.
• Prepare and ship different items as needed.
• Water Treatment checks (H2O checks, Chlorine, Sensory, Chlorine PPM and Water Hardness).
• Hold all suspect products.
• Work with product on hold (recheck product on hold, recode product, repackage product, and sensory testing).
• Check volume levels on product lines weekly.
• Check oxygen levels in cans.
• Able to make out syrup room schedule.
• Fill out a hold for inspection inventory.
• Put out use by date forms.
• FOOD SAFETY: Required to follow the Good manufacturing Program GMPs as listed in Code of Federal Regulations CFR 21 section 110. Requires participation in various Food Safety related training that Buffalo Rock utilizes. Required to report potential issues related to Food Safety.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
• Exhibit a high level of ethical and moral conduct while at work or in attendance at any off-site function while representing the Buffalo Rock Company.
• Responsible for continuous self-improvement through the knowledge and use of all Buffalo Rock provided training. Successfully complete assigned training curriculum, including but not limited to online and/or facilitated training.
• Ensure that every reasonable precaution is taken to protect the Company from possible damage, theft, or other liabilities.
• Ensure that every reasonable precaution is taken to protect the safety of employee-partners, self, customers, Buffalo Rock property, and customer property.
