Customer Liaison (Zing)

Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a leading automotive manufacturing client, is seeking a Customer Liaison to join their team! This position serves as the primary quality representative at the customer's manufacturing facility, ensuring all products meet customer specifications while supporting containment, inspections, and quality communication between the customer and manufacturing team.

Pay: 70k

Shift: 2nd shift

• Serve as the on-site quality representative at the customer facility.
• Perform inspections and audits to ensure products meet all customer-specific requirements.
• Conduct containment, sorting, and rework of non-conforming material.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Communicate customer concerns to Quality Engineers, Supplier Quality Engineers, and leadership.
• Perform dimensional, cosmetic, and functional inspections.
• Issue Quality Alerts as requested by the customer.
• Attend customer quality meetings and report findings back to the manufacturing team.
• Complete daily shift reports documenting quality concerns and resolutions.
• Lead and direct associates assisting with containment, sorting, and rework activities.
• Promote workplace safety and 5S housekeeping standards.
• Perform additional quality-related duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months to one year of quality or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of customer-specific quality requirements.
• Experience with containment, inspections, sorting, and rework.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and dimensional prints.
• Working knowledge of GD&T preferred.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment including:
  • Calipers
  • Micrometers
  • Dial Indicators
  • Checking Fixtures
• Understanding of Core Quality Tools and Root Cause Analysis preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while representing the company at a customer location.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform occasional bending and stooping.
