Overview
The University of Alabama at Birmingham, Med - Hematology & Oncology, is in search of a dedicated Researcher to join their team. The Al-Kadhimi lab is seeking applications for a Researcher who will be an integral member of the lab, providing technical support by performing established lab procedures and collecting and summarizing data. These procedures include but are not limited to collecting PBMCs and sera from blood samples, cell culture (primary and cell lines), and mouse husbandry and tissue processing.
The ideal candidate will have experience with cell culture, flow cytometry, mouse work, data analysis, and record keeping.
- Lead and execute research projects, with independence, designing studies, analyzing data, and potentially assisting in publishing findings. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage project timelines, and contribute to grant writing and securing funding for future research. Depending on research focus, may involve contact with research collaborators, research animals, and/or specimens.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
$50,050 - $81,330
QualificationsMaster's degree in a related field OR Bachelor's degree in related field with two (2) years of related experience OR Associate's degree in related field with four (4) years of related experience OR High School diploma or GED with six (6) years of related experience. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
Preferences- Experience working in a lab.
