The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Temporary Services is seeking a highly motivated bilingual research interviewer to join our research team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish and will be responsible for conducting interviews, collecting data, and supporting research initiatives. The role requires strong communication skills, cultural competency, and the ability to engage with diverse populations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research interviews with participants in both English and Spanish through in-person, phone, or virtual formats.
- Accurately record interview responses, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Provide participants with necessary information about the research project and answer their questions.
- Assist in recruiting participants for studies and obtaining informed consent.
- Collaborate with research teams to ensure accurate data collection and reporting.
- Maintain detailed records of interviews and data entry following established protocols.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in a related field (such as social sciences, public health, or communication) preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and experience with data entry or survey software.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with diverse populations.
