Overview

$15.00 to $18.00 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process.

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both lending and retail sides of the business. The position involves greeting, engaging, and interacting with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions. The associate will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate earns an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Pay is based on location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items per policies and procedures.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Explains legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers; supports a positive customer experience.
• Completes assigned training and performs other related duties as needed.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, bending, etc.).
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified (where applicable).
• May be required to assist customers outside the building or access exterior storage.
• Minimum age 18;
  High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to serve customers and be team-oriented; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math; cash handling experience preferred.
• Willingness to work at multiple locations as needed; flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate; able to operate POS systems.

The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. Additional details provided during the interview process.
