Airgas is hiring a Counter Sales Associate. Join our diverse and inclusive team.

• Proactively sell industrial gases, welding supplies, and related equipment to existing and potential customers.
• Handle all sales paperwork, document sales, quotes, and customer details.
• Answer customer inquiries and offer expert guidance on suitable equipment and procedures.
• Maintain a neat and orderly showroom.
• Assist customers with merchandise and facilitate the loading and unloading of cylinders.
• Build and nurture positive customer relations.
• Communicate effectively in person and over the phone to share information on costs, ordering, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor customer needs and collaborate to manage hard goods and cylinder levels to reduce emergency deliveries.

• Previous experience in customer service or sales.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with order entry systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical thinking to assess customer situations and provide effective solutions.
• Skillful handling of cash transactions.
• Physical strength to handle loads up to 60 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks.
• Positive team‑oriented attitude and willingness to learn and grow.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse personalities and backgrounds.
• Preferred:
  Familiarity with compressed gases and related products.
• Preferred: SAP experience.
