The primary responsibility of the Retail Selling Specialist (RSS) is to generate in-store sales. The RSS is under the supervision of the Account Executive and contributes to brand awareness and retail sales to influence Sunday Riley’s in-store success. The RSS is accountable for sales performance, ATV/AUS growth, personal development and growth of the customer database by providing excellent & exceptional customer service.
The ideal candidate must enjoy the retail environment and must have a strong background in the beauty industry, sales and customer experience. Professional Beauty Therapy qualifications would be an advantage. The candidate must be a stellar seller, organized, responsible, detail-oriented, a self-starter, a multi-tasker and possess strong follow-up skills. Communication skills, timely reporting practices, follow-through, and a collaborative approach with Account Executive to develop strategic in-store sales and activities are a must.
Energy, passion & resilience are crucial; must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Flexible regarding work hours and travel between territory stores.
- To deliver exceptional customer service to all potential/actual customers.
- To consistently achieve and deliver the KPI targets.
- To develop excellent in-store relationships with management/peers.
- To know and understand sales achievements, figures and data and to have personal accountability for all deliverables.
- To demonstrate an in depth and fluent knowledge of all the Sunday Riley products, collections, features and benefits through detailed training with the education team.
- To have personal accountability for learning and development including own research and asking the back-office team for additional learning and questions. This includes attending all training provided and contributing to a group learning environment.
- To have wide skincare knowledge in general and to understand all methods, techniques, layering and suitability of the Sunday Riley products.
- To be able to answer all customer’s needs in order to recommend the exact products suited to them.
Ensure visual merchandising and executional excellence in store.
- To achieve and maintain an excellent retail environment with the highest standards in all areas of the sales floor, tester and product replenishment and the stock room area.
- To support with floor moves and implementation of promotions whilst ensuring consistent delivery of housekeeping, presentation and personal grooming standards.
- To act in a responsible and positive manner at all times, ensuring that the Sunday Riley codes of practice, health and safety are adhered to and followed.
- To be responsible for ensuring, recording and reporting: the availability of our listed products, the store’s adherence to the visual merchandising agreements and brand standards, the availability of testers, sachets and samples.
- Achievement and Exceed the store sales target & personal sales target.
- Achieve and Exceed ATV & AUS targets.
- Exceptional customer experience/journey & growth/development of customer database.
- Execute effective in-store events to drive sales.
- Minimum 1 year of retail, sales and/or beauty industry experience, preferably in the skincare industry.
- The possession of a Beauty Therapy Qualification would be an advantage.
- Memorable, positive, professional and enthusiastic presence.
- Passion for skincare.
- Strong aptitude for product knowledge, brand messaging and selling.
- Experience working in an open-sell environment.
- Self-motivated, committed and goal-oriented.
- Energetic and passionate with an entrepreneurial, flexible, friendly spirit.
- Ability to travel required.
- This role is based in-store.
- This is a part-time role working 20-25 hours per week.
- The Retail Selling Specialist is responsible for adhering to the schedule set out for them by their supervisor.
- This schedule requires a minimum of 3 weekends a month to be worked.
