E-Commerce Specialist – Stockton, CA
Pay Rate: $18.40 per hour
The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) is a no‑fee program that assists men and women in completing a rehabilitation program.
Job SummaryThe Ecommerce Specialist will be responsible for hands‑on listing to expand our online merchandise and for optimizing product content to increase visibility and sales.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Create and optimize product listings on the ecommerce platform.
- Use best practices for titles, descriptions, images, and other content to improve visibility and conversion rates.
- Identify opportunities to increase the quantity of merchandise available online.
- Analyze sales data and customer feedback to spot improvement and growth opportunities.
- Apply data‑driven insights to optimize listings and recommend new product additions.
- Select high‑value items from the Center/Store for online sale.
- Photograph and present merchandise in a visually appealing and informative manner.
- Continuously improve the online shopping experience to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Meet daily posting quotas and weekly/monthly sales targets set by the Supervisor.
- Demonstrate efficiency, accuracy, and high productivity through effective workload management.
- Show eagerness to acquire new skills and grow within the organization.
- Partner with the District Sales Manager, Operations Manager, and team members in daily ecommerce operations.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficient computer and technology skills, including Windows 10 or higher and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Knowledge of online selling platforms and proficiency in Photoshop preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with analytic tools.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
- Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
- Experience identifying high‑quality and designer brand merchandise.
- 2–4 years of customer service and/or retail experience (required).
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
- Ability to grasp, push, pull, and move heavy objects such as furniture, packages, and other bulk items.
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
- Capability to perform various repetitive motion tasks.
- Visual acuity sufficient for extensive computer work.
