At Alabama Goodwill Industries, our mission is to help change lives through the power of work. Our programs are supported by profits generated through the sale of donated goods in our Retail Stores.
The ADC TLC is responsible for several locations related to accepting & processing donations, movement of goods, and training experiences while maximizing location efficiency. The Donated Goods Training Team will also contribute by using expertise in the process flow to evaluate and modify AGI Processing Rooms for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- Ensures 5-Star donor and team member experience goals are met
- Manages and coordinates the application of an operational design which includes the processing of donations and on-site and off-site collection. Ensures accurate donor counts
- Builds and maintains working relationships with logistics partners to ensure a consistent flow of materials goods from donation centers to store locations
- Works with AGI Store TLCs to ensure that the collection, production, and internal distribution of donated products are properly integrated
- Always ensures appropriate staffing and plans labor shortages coverage.
- Performs quality visits to locations regularly covering loss prevention, training, scheduling, image, supplies and equipment, and proper procedures following AGI's Guiding Principles
- Proactively resolves all conflicts among the collection, production, and distribution of donated products
- Works actively with the Director of Retail Operations in testing and revising procedures and processes as appropriate
- Ensures appropriate equipment allocation within budgetary requirements for collection and processing of donated goods
Ensures that loading and unloading of vehicles is performed utilizing safety practices (i.e., lifting, use of equipment, etc.) and accidents are reported promptly to the immediate supervisor - Compiles and reports ongoing operation results in scheduled operational meetings
- Trains, coaches, develops, and manages the performance of team members
- Ensures the honesty and integrity of all team members, and their adherence to Goodwill Core Values, by modeling the behaviors
- Attends in-services and related training, including mandatory meetings, as assigned
- Develops all assistant managers (ATLs) under their leadership
- Adheres to all AGI safety policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned by AGI Leadership
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with team leaders, team members, customers, donors, and trainees
- Ability to maintain a positive and friendly attitude
- Ability to problem-solve and make decisions independently as required
- Ability to seek out internal and external resources to accomplish desired results
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal and perform basic mathematical skills related to the job
- Ability to effectively use computer applications, including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheets, and other applications as determined appropriate by Goodwill.
- Ability to understand financial statements, sales reports, and other IS reports
- Must be able to operate vehicles in the department, as assigned and if applicable
- Must be willing to travel up to 75% of the time throughout AGI territory
- Must possess a valid driver's license, appropriate insurance coverage and a privately owned reliable means of transportation to travel throughout AGI territory to visit stores and locations, as necessary
- As with all direct reports, needs to be able to work evenings and weekends on a regular basis to fulfill responsibilities
- Five years' experience in nonprofit donated goods business, sales, or related field
- Bachelor's Degree in business, operations, or related field
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
$45K - $55K, plus full benefits
