Job Overview
This role involves providing advice and financial solutions to complex Business Banking clients and prospects. The primary focus is to be a trusted advisor, acquiring, deepening, and maintaining profitable relationships, collaborating with teammates and facilitating client relationships with Product Specialists.
Responsibilities- Manage an extensive portfolio of complex clients and prospects with annual revenues of $20–50 million, helping them save, borrow, and invest for current and future needs.
- Acquire, deepen, and maintain profitable client relationships through sales, prospecting, and enhancing existing relationships.
- Interpret financial and cash flow statements to assess and analyze financial conditions of companies and industry trends.
- Collaborate with local market stakeholders and teammates throughout the bank—including Investment Banking, Foreign Exchange, and Wealth Management—to design and deliver financial solutions.
- Facilitate client relationships with Product Specialists in Credit, Treasury Management, and Merchant Services.
- Lead and facilitate dialogue with complex clients and prospects on industry, alternative capital structures, and general business issues.
- Coach and mentor peers, utilizing leadership skills.
- Adapt to changes in sales practices and broader market and industry conditions.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial lending, business development, commercial credit, and portfolio management in business banking or the middle market sector.
- Management of an extensive portfolio of clients with annual revenues of $20–100million.
- Proven track record of sales, prospecting new business, and enhancing existing relationships.
- Ability to understand and interpret financial statements and perform cash flow analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Economics preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience.
