Position: Customer Service Representative (Birmingham, AL)

Responsibilities

  • Process and key customer orders using the QAD ERP system.
  • Resolve pricing and vendor corrections promptly to facilitate same‑day shipments.
  • Assist customers and field sales representatives with questions regarding product availability, delivery status, and pricing via phone or email.
  • Maintain records of product sales and prepare daily sales reports for management review as requested.
  • Serve as the main customer‑service contact for special pricing agreements.
  • Assist the Customer Service Supervisor in tracking and shipping backorders as products become available.
  • Update open‑order reports as needed.
  • Process customer returns.
  • Collaborate with Credit and Collections and Purchasing to meet customer product needs and order fulfillment.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required.
  • Preferred 3‑4 years of customer‑service experience.
  • Must be able to operate a personal computer and appropriate software packages.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficient interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Able to work independently and be proactive.
Compensation

The estimated pay range for this position is $43,200 – $59,400 annually.
