Position OverviewThe Business Development Coordinator plays a vital role in strengthening zTrip’s market presence by generating new business, cultivating strategic partnerships, and increasing brand awareness throughout the community. This position is ideal for an energetic professional who thrives on networking, building relationships, and identifying opportunities that drive long-term growth.
Working closely with local leadership, you will develop outreach initiatives, establish meaningful community connections, and execute strategies that support market expansion and business success.
Key Responsibilities of a Business Development Coordinator:Business Development & Strategic Growth
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities to increase ridership and revenue
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community leaders
- Manage prospects and opportunities through CRM systems
- Schedule and conduct presentations, meetings, and client consultations
- Consistently follow up on leads to develop long‑term business partnerships
- Establish strategic alliances that support continued market growth
- Serve as a professional ambassador for zTrip throughout the Birmingham community
- Attend networking events, community functions, and business gatherings
- Build relationships with local stakeholders and decision‑makers
- Represent zTrip within Chambers of Commerce, professional associations, and community organizations
- Increase brand visibility through active engagement and outreach efforts
- Assist with local marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives
- Support social media engagement and community‑focused content efforts
Help coordinate grassroots marketing activities to increase awareness and customer engagement - Contribute ideas and strategies that strengthen brand presence within the market
- Support customer communications and promotional outreach efforts
- Participate in recruiting events and driver engagement activities
- Support customer relationship initiatives and service excellence efforts
- Assist leadership with special projects and growth‑focused initiatives
- Foster effective communication between community partners and internal teams
- Strong sales, business development, networking, and relationship‑building skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and results‑driven
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
- Previous experience in business development, sales, marketing, account management, or community outreach preferred
- Comfortable presenting to groups and engaging with business leaders
