The Inside Sales Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in Birmingham, AL. This position is responsible for handling incoming inquiries, generating quotes, and processing orders for raw metals and machining services. Daily tasks include managing customer accounts, answering product and pricing questions, following up on leads, and coordinating with operations to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. The role involves maintaining detailed records in the sales system, monitoring customer satisfaction, and identifying opportunities to expand business with existing and new customers.
The Inside Sales Representative will collaborate closely with team members to meet sales goals and uphold the company’s quality standards.
- Strong Inside Sales skills, including handling inbound inquiries and managing the sales cycle
- Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills to build relationships and resolve issues effectively
- Lead Generation and Account Management abilities to grow and maintain a book of business
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with attention to detail and follow-through
- Comfort working in an on-site, fast-paced industrial or distribution environment
- Basic proficiency with CRM or sales software and standard office applications
- Ability to learn product specifications related to metals and machining services
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or experience in sales or industrial distribution is beneficial
