Position: Medical Account Specialist II - NEUROLOGY - BIRMINGHAM, AL

Role Responsibilities

  • Engage rare neurology experts and key customers within an assigned geography; deliver clinically focused selling messages to launch products, grow brand share/revenue, and consistently meet product goals.
  • Develop and execute account strategies to grow market share.
  • Partner with collaboration stakeholders (e.g., Reimbursement and Access Specialists and others) to address customer needs, market dynamics, and trends; develop strategies supporting brand/corporate objectives in territory.
  • Build strong working relationships with customers and internal/external contacts (clinics, physicians, nurses, patient advocacy groups, Clinical Nurse Educators, Marketing, National Accounts, Training and Trade, and Reimbursement/Access team).
  • Conduct rare neurology-specific market profiling (health care delivery, influencers, payer systems).
  • Apply strategic account selling and management skills; create comprehensive territory/account/customer plans.
  • Support the 'total account call' to educate all account personnel on commercially available products.
  • Develop strategy and execute tactics in key accounts to establish, generate, and expand market share.
  • Identify business opportunities and coordinate efforts to support contracting pull-through with accounts.
  • Gain deep knowledge of assigned accounts via internal research and stakeholder information (business model, metrics, challenges, strategic goals).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree mandatory;
    Master’s degree/advanced certifications a plus.
  • 5+ years successful Neurology sales experience; specialty/biologic/REMS products strongly preferred; launch experience preferred.
  • 2+ years working with key thought leaders/high-influence customers in large group practices, academic hospitals, or managed care (Neurology focus).
  • Track record of consistent sales performance in complex markets with integrity/compliance.
  • Results-oriented; proven success with product launches.
  • Strong account management plus analytical/problem-solving/planning skills.
  • Current experience calling on large Neurology group practices and/or integrated delivery networks.
  • Strong understanding of Neurology therapeutic area and current market.
