Trauma Sales Representative (Birmingham)
Smith+Nephrow designs and manufactures technology that enhances patient lives. In this role you will serve as a technical consultant within our Orthopedics portfolio, focusing on internal and external fixation solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Engage physicians and accounts through sales calls and provide on‑call clinical coverage in the operating room.
- Train surgeons on Smith+Nephrow products via education and programs within your territory.
- Collaborate with podiatric and orthopedic surgeons, hospitals, OR staff, Sterile Processing Department, administration, clinicians, and researchers.
- Work cross‑divisionally to increase product awareness and adoption.
- Manage a 24/7 call rotation as part of the team.
- Develop an effective territory business plan to generate revenue and meet or exceed quota.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum four years of sales experience in the medical device industry, preferably in orthopedics or as an EMS/Paramedic.
- Proven track record selling or converting business at the surgeon or hospital level.
- Experience leading or mentoring new sales representatives.
- Self‑motivated, results‑driven, resourceful, and collaborative.
Within the designated sales territory with 2–4 overnight trips per month; infrequent national travel for events and conferences.
CredentialingAll field sales professionals must complete the company credentialing process, which may include COVID‑19 vaccine management.
