Job Overview
The Account Executive - Uniforms works to strategically target potential customers to generate and grow new business in Vestis’s Uniforms Division. Responsibilities include prospecting, cold calling, setting appointments with prospects, presenting programs and solutions, and meeting a sales quota. The role includes developing relationships with customers, qualifying leads within territory, generating revenue and market share, and meeting sales targets. The incumbent positions the Company’s value proposition and whole‑product solution to the customer to build and enhance strong customer relationships and become a strong business partner.
With a strong knowledge of business and market sense, the incumbent successfully prospects an assigned sales territory and reports on related marketing activities by conducting competitive market analysis, competitive intelligence, and other sales‑related research.
- Develop a customer base by utilizing a systematic business development process to identify new prospects and cultivate relationships using product materials and cold calling.
- Develop and qualify leads within territory to drive sales opportunities through lead generation campaigns.
- Proactively initiate action with target customers by finding creative methods to establish and maintain customer engagement.
- Secure a high number of first appointments with target customer decision makers.
- Minimize the number of opportunities that move to callback status and maintain a proper prospect funnel ratio at all times.
- Follow through with all selling activities to maximize close ratio.
- Persuade and demonstrate strong closing skills.
- Manage target selling and strategic selling.
- Employ strong phone‑blocking, phone‑calling, and door‑knocking skills.
- Build and enhance strong customer relationships with multiple key decision makers.
- Identify and build relationships with key decision makers and political influencers.
- Conduct presentations to communicate current and future customer benefits.
- Ensure 100% customer satisfaction and loyalty by utilizing all resources, tools, and technology provided.
- Proactively address situations, anticipate possible problems, and solve them before they become an issue.
- Conduct competitive market analysis, including existing territory, customer types, and competitive products.
- Possess a track record as a master prospector.
- Prepare informative, interesting presentations; investigate new prospect customers; monitor existing customers; perform competitive intelligence; manage time and sales results.
- Use the company’s proprietary sales force automation software to manage daily sales activities.
- Communicate with other segments of the company to ensure collaboration and shared sales opportunities.
- Update manager weekly with prospect information and status of movement in prospecting stages and next actions.
- Use a scheduling system to ensure effective use of time and keep customer appointments.
- Respond timely to internal and external inquiries.
- Work independently and manage territory.
- Adapt to organizational changes while remaining flexible and productive.

- Focus sales efforts in a geographical territory in coordination with manager leadership.
- Individualize a plan for each territory and decide on proper focus areas to attain sales goals within the Uniforms Division.
- Demonstrate ability to discern when a strategic pivot is needed.
- Superior interpersonal and written-oral communication skills with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals.
- Proven success in developing new business and generating sales leads by managing territory and selling activities.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving, crafting a win‑win solution, and negotiating with special emphasis on closing the sale.
