Designer Sales Specialist

Talon Hiring Solutions has a client in the greater Birmingham, AL area that is looking for a
Designer Sales Consultant to join the sales team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves working with people, has a natural eye for design, and enjoys the freedom and variety of a field-based sales role. You'll meet with clients in their homes, learn about their style and needs, and recommend customized window treatment solutions that bring their vision to life.

• Meet with qualified homeowners in their homes to understand their design preferences and needs
• Consult with clients on window treatment options, including color, texture, style, and functionality
• Take accurate window measurements and prepare product recommendations
• Build strong relationships with clients and provide an exceptional customer experience
• Manage the full sales process from consultation through close
• Follow up with prospects and past clients to generate additional business and referrals
• Develop new business through networking, community involvement, referrals, and relationship building
• Attend weekly networking events and actively build relationships with interior designers, builders, contractors, realtors, and local businesses
• Maintain accurate client information and sales activity using technology and Google Workspace
• Continually develop product, design, and sales knowledge through ongoing training

• 2+ years of sales experience preferred
• Window fashion or interior design experience is a plus, but not required
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure; proficiency to 1/16" preferred
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple appointments, follow-ups, and sales activities independently
