Position Summary:The Reclamation B Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of reclamation processing systems and associated facility equipment during assigned shifts. This position supports the receipt, processing, treatment, transfer, and disposal of petroleum-contaminated wastewater (PCW), sludge, transmix, and related materials while maintaining compliance with environmental, safety, and operational standards. The operator is expected to monitor process performance, conduct inspections, perform basic maintenance activities, and ensure the facility remains safe, clean, and operational at all times.

Reclamation Process Operations
- Receive & Inspect incoming PCW (Petroleum-Contaminated Wastewater) deliveries to verify material type, quality, volume, and compliance with acceptance criteria.
- Review shipping paperwork, manifests, and related documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Safely collect samples of incoming materials as required for testing, analysis, or process verification.
- Identify and report unacceptable materials, load discrepancies, or safety concerns to supervision.
- Direct transport drivers to the designated unloading locations and ensure adherence to site safety requirements.
- Safely unload PCW using approved equipment and procedures.
- Perform trailer washout activities when necessary.
- Monitor unloading operations to prevent spills, releases, and cross-contamination of materials.
- Record receipt information and maintain accurate inventory and operational records.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure unloading areas remain clean, organized, and environmentally compliant.
- Transfer products between storage tanks using facility piping systems, pumps, and valves.
- Operate and monitor the Diffused Air Flotation (DAF) system for pretreatment of petroleum-contaminated wastewater (PCW).
- Operate and monitor the Sequencing Batch Reactor (S ) system for biological treatment and final processing of wastewater.
- Collect process samples and perform routine monitoring of treatment operations.
- Discharge treated wastewater into the permitted county sewer system in accordance with operating procedures and permit requirements.
- Perform sludge dewatering operations and prepare wastewater treatment byproducts for landfill disposal.
- Safely transfer PCW, sludge, transmix, and related products throughout the facility.
- Monitor process conditions and make operational adjustments to maintain treatment efficiency.
- Conduct routine facility rounds and operational inspections during each shift.
- Document tank levels, operating conditions, equipment readings, and inspection results.
- Read and record temperatures, pressures, flow rates, and other process measurements.
- Identify abnormal operating conditions and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
- Maintain accurate operating logs, inspection reports, and shift documentation.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and assist with equipment repairs.
- Inspect equipment for leaks, damage, wear, or malfunction.
- Report equipment concerns and maintenance needs to supervision.
- Assist maintenance personnel and contractors as required.
- Maintain strict compliance with all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and operating procedures.
- Participate in safety observations, incident investigations, near-miss reporting, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
- Identify and report unsafe conditions, hazards, spills, or environmental concerns immediately.
- Issue and monitor work permits as required and ensure contractor compliance with site Safe Work Practices.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and keep all work areas clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to safely operate industrial process equipment and learn advanced treatment systems.
