As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Rover in Birmingham, AL

Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support employees and visitors with courteous service and clear communication. What You’ll Do
  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and public responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including lobbies, teller and service areas, ATM and vestibule areas, corridors, stairwells, and exterior perimeter.
  • Monitor access points and observe for suspicious or unusual activity, helping to deter unauthorized entry, theft, and disruptive behavior; report concerns per post orders.
  • Complete required reports and logs such as patrol documentation, incident reports, and shift turnover notes, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal management and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements
  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Have 6 months+ armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.
  • Be able to lift up to 20 lbs, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
