Security Officer – Mall Bike Patrols PT – Birmingham, AL

This part‑time role allows you to use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to pick up shifts that fit your availability, gaining valuable site experience across a variety of industries.

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites.
• Support operations across environments such as commercial real estate, healthcare, and education.
• Receive site‑specific training and guidance from experienced teams.
• Deliver a consistent, professional security presence and excellent customer service.
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise.

• Provide exceptional customer service by following security‑related procedures and site‑specific policies, and support emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations within the retail/mall environment calmly and problem‑solving with Allied Universal protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activities and identify irregularities.
• Observe and report activities or incidents, communicating relevant information to Allied Universal and/or site management as required.
• Support access control measures and deter prohibited items or activities within the location.
• Assist visitors, staff, and tenants with directions and information, while maintaining a professional presence during patrols.

• Availability across various days and shifts.
• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments.
• A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company.
• Interest in transitioning into full‑time roles when available.

• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required only for driving positions.
