The RoleCoca‑Cola Amphitheater is seeking a Manager – Venue Security. The Security Manager is responsible for overall management of the security department to ensure guest, employee, artist, and venue safety, control costs, and guarantee total guest satisfaction through guarding, patrolling, and monitoring the premises to prevent theft, violence, or rule infractions.
Key Responsibilities- Work with the General Manager and Operations Manager to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to prevent theft and maintain premises security.
- Patrol the venue and critical areas, visually monitor and take corrective action when needed.
- Provide guidance, implement improvements, and adjust operations as required.
- Investigate and resolve security complaints, interacting positively with guests.
- Circulate among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property.
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, or unusual occurrences.
- Interview, select, train, supervise, counsel, and discipline security staff for efficient operation.
- Show CARE by participating in the venue’s sustainability program, including waste sorting, recycling, and fan education.
- Partner with band members after shows to close the venue, collecting recyclables and properly storing event equipment.
- Coordinate with the Operations Manager and Tour Security Manager to advance upcoming shows and ensure a safe show day.
- Organize and conduct meetings, communicate pertinent information, schedule, and direct staff assignments.
- Regularly review and evaluate the department and recommend and implement new operational policies and procedures when necessary.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- In certain states a Guard Card is a plus; otherwise, enter state licensing requirements.
- Working knowledge of security operations, safety practices, and enforcement procedures.
- Strong strategic thinking and creative problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
- Strong teamwork orientation and ability to execute programs.
- Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 lbs.+, and occasional sitting.
