As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a public transit location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to passengers, staff, and visitors.

Pay Rate:$18.05 / Hour
Job Schedule:- Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Sat 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
- Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, vehicles, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
- Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities while maintaining professional communication with transit personnel and the public.
- Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Handcuffing certification is preferred.
- An Armed Guard Card or license is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
