** Position Summary
** The Journeyman Welder is responsible for performing high-quality welding and fabrication of piping systems and structural components for commercial and industrial mechanical projects. This role works independently or as part of a crew to ensure installations meet all codes, specifications, and company standards for safety and quality.
** Essential Duties and Responsibilities
*** Perform SMAW, GTAW (TIG), and GMAW welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy piping
* Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding procedures
* Fabricate, assemble, and install piping systems
* Inspect welds to ensure compliance with codes and project specifications
* Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper setup and operation
* Follow all OSHA and company safety standards
* Coordinate with pipe fitters, foremen, and supervisors on jobsite activities
** Qualifications
* ** Minimum 4 years of commercial or industrial welding experience
* Ability to pass required weld tests (X-ray quality preferred)
* Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and procedures
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
* OSHA 10 certification preferred
* Valid driver’s license
