Position Summary
Walmart is seeking a Master Electrician, Facility Services, to ensure the safety, functionality, and maintenance of electrical systems across facilities. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing complex electrical issues, and leading repairs while ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.
Responsibilities- Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, facilities, and equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Inspect, diagnose, and resolve complex electrical issues using blueprints, manuals, and code requirements.
- Install and maintain electrical panels, breakers, switches, outlets, lighting, and conduit in compliance with NEC and safety standards.
- Lead and mentor Journeyman and Apprentice Electricians, providing technical guidance and training on electrical techniques and safety protocols.
- Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, parts procurement, and contractor coordination to meet quality and compliance standards.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and participate in on‑call rotations supporting critical business needs.
- 21 years of age or older.
- 5 years of experience in the electrical trade (Master-level experience preferred).
- Licensed Master Electrician in good standing or equivalent in the state of work.
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
- Eligibility for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical trade program.
- Experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- License in related trade in city and/or state where the job is located.
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience.
$33.00 - $63.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
