Do you thrive diagnosing complex issues in commercial kitchens and HVAC/R systems? Want field autonomy with strong technical backup? This role supports Chick‑fil‑A restaurants exclusively through a best‑in‑class service network—giving you independence in the field plus the tools, resources, and training to succeed.
What You’ll Do- Pinpoint, repair, install, and remove commercial kitchen equipment.
- Service hot‑side cooking gear, sealed‑system refrigeration, specialty food service equipment, and base‑building HVAC.
- Honor service level agreements by responding to Operator requests promptly.
- Work on brands such as Henny Penny, Follett, Lennox (HVAC), Traulsen, Hobart mixers, Champion dishwashers, and Garland Grill.
- Coordinate with manufacturers for diagnostics and parts identification; partner with the Chick‑fil‑A Technical Assistance Team when onsite.
- Install parts accurately and professionally.
- Complete timely documentation (work orders, time logs, receipts) and manage truck stock inventory.
- Keep your service vehicle, tools, and parts organized.
- Support on‑call emergencies during non‑standard hours.
- Adhere to safety protocols and accident prevention procedures.
- Pursue OEM training and certifications; engage with suppliers and vendors.
- Meet productivity targets consistent with company standards.
- Technical trade school background and/or substantial hands‑on experience.
- 5+ years in a relevant trade (or equivalent experience).
- Demonstrated capability in one or more: sealed refrigeration/HVAC systems, electrical systems, mechanical systems, process controls, hot‑side cooking equipment, mechanical power transmission.
- Experience in kitchen equipment, facilities, or construction systems service.
- EPA Universal Certification.
- Valid state driver’s license and proof of insurance; safe driving record (MVR required).
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills; can read schematics/diagrams.
- Comfort with Microsoft Word, Excel, and mobile service apps.
- Clear communicator; self‑directed; positive, service‑oriented mindset.

- 100% travel within your defined local market.
- Limited overnights, mostly for onboarding and training.
- Work extended periods during emergencies/priority work (including overtime).
- Lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Climb ladders and stairs up to two stories (with ladder safety training). Roof access ladders are provided; van loading/unloading of a large ladder is not typical.
- Frequently bend, twist, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
- Stand and walk for extended periods on even/uneven terrain.
- Regularly use arms, wrists, and hands to operate tools and machinery.
- Work indoors and outdoors in a range of weather conditions.
