Position Location: Pelham, AL branch, serving customers throughout Alabama

Fire Alarm Technician responsible for installation, commissioning, and maintenance of fire alarm systems in Smart Buildings.

• Assist with commissioning new fire alarm systems on construction ensuring seamless integration
• Assist with testing and inspecting existing fire alarm systems
• Plan work with mentor, Lead Technician, and Team Leader
• Complete commissioning within planned timelines
• Submit accurate time and expense logs
• Work overtime when needed

Basic Qualifications:

• Electro‑mechanical experience or relevant education; PC and software skills; proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to differentiate types/colors of wire; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; carry and move equipment/tools up to 75 lbs unassisted
• Must obtain NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level 1 within 18 months
• Must be 18 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license with limited violations, and meet eligibility requirements for Siemens fleet vehicle program
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED;
  Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred
• 6+ months experience installing commercial fire alarm equipment
• Ability to read and understand design and construction documents

Pay Range: $42,340 - $72,583 annually. Actual wage may vary based on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
