Plumber

This role involves installing, assembling, and maintaining plumbing systems in an industrial and commercial environment, with a strong focus on quality workmanship, safety, and adherence to building codes and project schedules.

Responsibilities
  • Install, test, and repair water, drainage, and gas lines in commercial and industrial settings.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipe using appropriate hand and power tools.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to determine layout and installation requirements.
  • Inspect plumbing systems for leaks, defects, and compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
  • Maintain and service septic and commercial sewer systems to ensure proper operation.
  • Perform soldering of copper pipe and other necessary joining methods to complete installations and repairs.
  • Use measuring tools accurately to ensure precise cuts, alignments, and system layout.
  • Troubleshoot plumbing issues, identify root causes, and implement effective repairs.
  • Work closely with production and construction teams to meet project schedules and deadlines.
  • Follow OSHA regulations and all company safety guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Lift and move materials and equipment, up to 50 lbs, as part of daily installation and maintenance tasks.
  • Document work performed as required and communicate status updates to supervisors and team members.
Essential Skills
  • 3+ years of experience as a Plumber in a commercial setting.
  • Previous plumbing or maintenance experience with water, drainage, and gas systems.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and installation methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Proficiency using measuring tools to ensure accurate layout and installation.
  • Familiarity with building codes and plumbing code requirements.
  • Ability to solder copper pipe and perform related joining techniques.
  • Capability to measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipe using hand and power tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for plumbing systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with commercial plumbing installations and maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience with construction and installation work in industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of various plumbing materials, including copper and other common piping materials.
  • Ability to install and maintain water, drainage, and gas lines from blueprint specifications.
  • Familiarity with septic and commercial sewer system maintenance.
  • Interest in pursuing Journeyman and Master Plumber licensing, with support available.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $36.00/hr.
